As an overthinker, I have often struggled, and still struggle with worries and a tendency to aim for perfection. As a result, I have become quite skilled at creating Hollywood-worthy screenplays in my mind with little to no correlation to the truth.
With time, a lot of work and a lot of help, I have come to understand that thoughts and feelings are not facts and that, is not about eradicating overthinking all together, but finding ways to deal with is as constructively as possible, one worry at a time. It is about finding more loving and supportive ways to counteract all the negativity that overthinking can generate. In a nutshell that is what my writing and my training is all about.
